Middle Creek High School offers two band classes that run all year – symphonic band and wind ensembles. These band classes perform at school concerts throughout the year and have opportunities to work with area professionals and guests from area colleges. Both band classes also enter a district contest each spring. Many opportunities are presented to broaden their education and interest in music.
Additionally, students can be part of jazz ensembles or have the opportunity to create student-led ensembles. These ensembles perform at our fall and spring concerts and allow students to further explore their musical interests.
To be a member of marching band, winter percussion, or ensemble group, you must be enrolled in one of these band classes.
Students who are interested in auditioning into winds ensemble/honors level band class will need to complete a recorded audition submitted to Page Newsome, Director of Bands. Please email Mr. Newsome for more information – or ask your middle school band director.
